Title: NY Harbor Biodiesel Producer Begins Regular Barge Shipments to NYC Customers
NEW YORK, May 4, 2009 – Innovation Fuels, the New York based renewable energy company that manufactures, markets, and distributes second-generation biodiesel to customers around the world and the first BQ-9000®  biodiesel producer and marketer in NY harbor has announced that it started regularly scheduled biodiesel shipments via barge to customers in New York City.  The company currently services its customers in 5,000. 10,000 and 15,000 barrel increments.

“I am very pleased to announce we have already begun actively providing ongoing service to customers shipping via New York harbor in a variety of increments,” commented Bob Lindenbaum, Chief Marketing Officer for Innovation Fuels.  “Our customers have been very receptive toward our providing our premium biodiesel product to them on a regular basis.”

“Establishing regular service of our BQ-9000® accredited product to our customers in New York City and throughout the Northeast is a very important step for our company as we continue to shift our business toward providing large domestic barge shipments to customers in the U.S.,” remarked John Fox, Innovation Fuels’ Chief Executive Officer.  “This has already proven to be an effective compliment to our thriving trucking business.”

Innovation Fuels is partnering with Marine Environmental Transportation, LLC and Captain Fil Balico to provide barge services for the transportation of its biodiesel to customers throughout New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area.

“We are very pleased we selected Chris Charles and his team at Marine Environmental including Captain Balico as our barge shipping partner because of their quality, dependable service and proper handling of our cargoes,” said Mr. Fox. “

Given that protecting the environment and community safety are paramount concerns for the company, Innovation Fuels has also partnered with Bionautics, a Newark-based company, to provide all spill prevention and marine logistical services related to the barge deliveries.

“We are also very happy to be working with the folks at Bionautics headed by their President, Paul Lerin, who are helping us service our customers as safely and efficiently as possible.  Bionautics’ skill and knowledge of the Passaic River and its bridge operations is unparalleled and we are confident that they will help our barge traffic to arrive safely and on-schedule,” added Mr. Fox.
