INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ACTIVITY DURING NATIONAL ENGINEERS WEEK
 
ELYRIA, Ohio – February 15, 2008 –Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, the North American leader in commercial vehicle safety and braking system technologies, is noting the intellectual property accomplishments of more than 50 company engineers during National Engineers Week, February 17–23.
Bendix was granted 17 United States patents in 2007 and filed applications for 21 others, adding to the over 75-year history of technical achievements by the organization and its engineering team. Among the most notable achievements in 2007 was a patent of the Bendix®ABS-6 Advanced with ESP® electronic stability program. The system is the only ABS-based truck stability system capable of recognizing and assisting with both rollover and vehicle under- and over-steer driving situations in a variety of road conditions.
