Pacific Grove, CA - June 13, 2008 - The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) will be an exhibitor at the 2008 Great American Trucking Show (GATS), being held at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, Thursday, August 21, through Saturday, August 23, 2008.

TRIB will be displaying a variety of retreaded truck tires in its booth, including wide-base retreads. It will also be distributing printed materials, along with CDs & DVDs, abo
ut retreaded tires, tire repairing, tire maintenance and other tire related subjects of benefit to truckers, fleet maintenance personnel and trucking company management.

In addition, TRIB will be handing out its Retread Tire Buyers Guide and materials from TRIB members. TRIB’s booth number is 13059.

Harvey Brodsky, Managing Director of TRIB, and TRIB staff member Rachel Lewis will be staffing the booth. Joining them will be TRIB members who have volunteered to help.

“We invite anyone who has questions or interests about retreaded tires, tire repairing, tire maintenance or anything tire related to stop by the TRIB booth,” said Brodsky.

“We would especially like to visit with those who are prejudiced against retreads,” he continued. “This would be a good time for them to learn just how sophisticated, high-tech and precise the retread industry is. It is a far cry from just a few years ago.

“The fact is retreaded tires provide the same safety, reliability, performance and handling as tires that have never been retreaded. And, retreaded tires keep getting better and better with continuous improvements in quality and durability.”

Furthermore, added Brodsky, retreaded tires help conserve valuable finite natural resources and reduce solid waste disposal problems, while being very environmentally friendly. “They may look round and black, but retreads are very green,” Brodsky added.

TRIB is a non-profit, member-supported industry association dedicated to the recycling of tires through retreading and proper tire repairing and maintenance.
