Decker Truck Line Announces May 2008 Truck Drivers of the Month

Fort Dodge, Iowa -July 16, 2008 - Decker Truck Line, Inc. recently announced that Kirby Goos was selected as the May 2008 Driver of the Month for the Flatbed division. Lynn Beckler was selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division.
Goos joined Decker Truck Line in August of 2007. He enjoys spending time with his wife Shirley, his children and grandchildren. When he is not driving for Decker, he may be seen riding his Harley. Goos’ dispatcher Sue Anderson expressed that “Kirby is a hard worker, easy to get along with, will work with you and help where you need him, and is also great at training the new drivers.”
Beckler, of Fort Dodge, has been with Decker Truck Line since 1985. When asked about Beckler, his dispatcher, Karen Davis explained, “He is always willing to help out and go the extra mile for our customers needs.”
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a driver of the month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the year.
