Decker Truck Line Announces Truck Drivers of the Month for June

Fort Dodge, Iowa- July 24, 2008 - Decker Truck Line, Inc. recently announced that Warren Erxleben was selected as the June 2008 Driver of the Month for the Flatbed division. Erxleben is nearing his three-year anniversary at Decker.
Jerry Chapman, Erxleben’s dispatcher, says, “Warren is an excellent driver, he is hard working, never complains and always wants to keep busy.” Erxleben, his wife Vicki and their four children reside in New Liberty, IA. When not working, spending time with his kids is on the top of Erxleben’s list. He enjoys working on the house and on cars as well.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Jim Brown. Brown started as a flatbed driver for Decker seventeen years ago. Approximately three years ago, he switched to the reefer/van division. “Jim is very good to work with; he is patient, understanding and helps everywhere possible. He makes my job easy,” says Joey O’Brion, Brown’s dispatcher.
Brown and his wife Diane reside in Otho, IA. They have three children and six grandchildren. Brown likes to watch sports, work in the yard and in the garden when he is not on the road.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service.
All drivers and owner-operators selected as a driver of the month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the year.
