Atlanta, GA - November 10, 2008 - Informore, a company that specializes in Transport Management services for large carriers, recently selected the load optimization solution ORTEC Loaddesigner. The solution will initially be used to increase the load factor at Samsung in order to save on transport costs. “ORTEC Loaddesigner was the best choice given the needs of our clients,” says Informore Director Pieter Jongens. “While this will enable us to help Samsung utilize its loading capacity as efficiently as possible, the carrier will also be able to provide Samsung with a better service. In addition, we may later be able to use the solution to determine routes for the carrier. Major carriers are also considering sharing loads in the future, which a small number of companies are already doing in the Netherlands. For instance, with a central data hub you can match the goods flows of a number of electrical manufacturers to check whether they can be combined for particular customers. ORTEC Loaddesigner, and possibly also ORTEC’s Vehicle Routing and Dispatch scheduling software, would provide an excellent solution in a future scenario of this nature. At Informore, we have implemented ORTEC Loaddesigner based on ASP, and it runs in the Atos Origin data center,” Pieter Jongens explains. Informore and Samsung About Informore About ORTEC ###
