Fort Dodge, Iowa November 18, 2008 - Decker Truck Line, Inc. is pleased to announce that Scott Killey has been selected as the October 2008 driver of the month for the Reefer/Van Division.
Killey and his wife Kim live in Plano, IL, where his hobbies are golfing and fishing. They have two children, Rebecca and Ryan. "Scott is a great asset to Decker Truck Line," says his dispatcher, Gary Northrop.
Stan Giddings has been selected as Decker's October 2008 Driver of the Month for the Flatbed Division.
Giddings, of Morrison, IL, has been married to his wife Mary Ann for 38 years. They have two sons, Nathan and Todd, and three grandchildren. When not driving for Decker, Giddings and his wife enjoy visiting antique shops, flea markets, etc. Giddings also enjoys woodworking. His dispatcher, Sue Anderson, said of Giddings, "Stan is a very good driver and trainer. He works well with everyone and likes to run. He is always pleasant and does a good job."
Congratulations to both October Drivers of the Month. Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a driver of the month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the year.
