Wood Village, Oregon 3/18/09 - New HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) OVERSIZE LOAD Signs for Pilot/Escort Vehicles and Heavy Haul Trucks are more durable than traditional vinyl, wood or metal signs. The 5/8 inch thick panels of Solid Yellow HDPE Plastic have DOT Regulation sized lettering applied with a new technology direct spray powdercoat system which fuses the black lettering onto the yellow substrate. Few other materials will stick to this slippery plastic which is commonly used for milk jugs and chemical bottles. This makes it ideal for harsh environments. Two sizes are currently available: 12 x 60 inch size for Escort Vehicles and 18 x 84 inch size for Big Rigs. The HDPE panels cut and drill like plywood, so they are easy to mount and modify. The semi-rigid panels require only minimal support for normal installations. Prices range from $49 for a one sided 12 x 60 inch sign to $119 for an 18 x 84 inch two-sided sign.
