Dallas, Texas (June 11, 2009) -- Recently FFE Inc., headquartered in Lancaster, TX, recognized drivers and owner operators for excellent safety records, overall performance and exceptional acts of kindness or courtesy.
A lunch time cookout was held for the honorees who were from FFE’s refrigerated fleet and its Ft. Worth-based refrigerated division, Lisa Motor Lines.
Twelve drivers were honored for their commitment to safety and their long-term accident-free records. FFE’s William Harry was recognized for reaching two million miles accident free while three others reached the million mile mark. They were: Arthur Ferrel, Perry Shilling, and, Arturo Tarazona.
From Lisa Motor Lines, three drivers achieved two million accident-free miles. They were: Anthony Brown, Simon Forbes, and Bill Rogers. Reaching the one million mile mark were David Wharton and Don Powell.
Also from Lisa Motor Lines, Stephen Lasley was named Contractor of the Year 2008 while Richard and Gary Nix received the Team of the Year 2008 award. Recently, TCA chose Tommy Dodd as one of this year’s Highway Angels.
Awards included plaques, certificates, leather jackets and a belt buckle in addition to the delicious lunch.
