Hope, AR -- Danny Watson has been promoted to director of safety at Fikes Truck Line, a 100% owner operator company that specializes in open deck freight.

Watson has held various safety and compliance positions during his 11 years with Fikes. Prior to joining Fikes, Watson served more than 12 years with the Arkansas Department of Transportation.      

"There's a great deal of satisfaction in doing this job," says Watson. "It's good to know that you're having an impact on reducing or eliminating accidents, keeping people safe. It's a never-ending challenge to be safe, stay on top on regulations and educate people as best we can."
