Springfield, Mo. - Prime inc. has taken action this week to contribute more than $14,500 to aid relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Haiti.

The driving professionals at Prime donated $5,390 and another $1,870 was raised by the staff.  Prime's owner, Robert E. Low, had pledged to match any funds collected bringing the total to $14,520.

The money has been donated to Kids Against Hunger, a humanitarian food-aid organization, that packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States. Kids Against Hunger has sent two million meals in earthquake relief to Haiti and will be sending millions more as contributions, such as those from Prime inc., are received.      

"Like many Americans seeing the evidence of this tragedy in the news, the Prime family wanted to do something tangible to help," says John Hancock, Prime inc. director of training and driver recruiting. "We're hopeful that in some way, our donation to Kids Against Hunger will make a positive difference for earthquake victims in Haiti."
